U3A – University of the third age
Our aim is to provide retired people with opportunities to acquire and share knowledge and experience in a friendly and relaxed environment. We have nearly 200 members participating in more than 20 group activities. The groups embrace a hugely diverse range of activities from Archaeology to Walking. We are noted for our friendliness and accessibility, as you will find if you attend any of our monthly meetings or other activities. Visitors are always welcome, just come along.

Millennium Tai Chi
Countesthorpe Village Hall 10.30am -12.00noon.
Warm-up exercises, Qi Gong and Yang Style forms in a friendly environment. Beginners of all ages and levels of fitness welcome. Call 0116 247 7212.

Drop in Centre for Bereaved People
1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at The Rainbow Shop between 2:30pm and 3.30pm. St Andrew’s Church is running a drop in Centre for bereaved people, so come and have a drink and a friendly chat with people who are experienced or trained bereavement counsellors. Messy Hands

Parish Council Meeting
2nd Thursday at 7:30 pm in the month in the Village Hall. The Parish Council meeting is a regular monthly meeting which is open to the public. The meeting is adjourned at 8pm to let members of the public speak on any issue. More information on the Countesthorpe Parish Council pages. Come along and keep yourself informed.

Lets Go - Mums and Tots
In the Cornerstone at 1:30pm until around 3:00pm. A meeting of young mums and their tots.

Rainbow Shop - every Saturday 10am to 3pm
To the left of St Andrew’s Church, (facing the church) is open each morning and Saturday from 10am to 3pm for tea, coffee etc. Fair Trade goods also sold. Pop in for company and a chat. The Rainbow Shop also sells cards and good as new used clothes and many other things. Proceeds go to charities generally overseas.
