2010 Glebe Bursary winner Barbara Peacock will hold her own exhibition in Glebe Garden Centre, Foston Road, Countesthorpe. LE8 5QP Barbara has developed a style which is much admired. So come & see some of her artistic impressions of the things that bring her the most pleasure in life. Most of the pieces are for sale.

Baby and Toddler Sign Language Classes

£48 payable in advance for 12 weeks classes or £4.50 per class. *45 minute class and 15 minutes playtime *Handouts with the nursery rhymes and illustrated signs are provided at lessons to take home to practise. *Living puppets and other props are used to keep baby and toddlers attention. *Story time *Games *Traditional and new nursery rhymes with musical accompaniment

Active Arts Alistair Anderson

Alistair Anderson has been at the forefront of traditional music for over 30 years. Internationally acknowledged as the master of the English Concertina, he has appeared on TV, radio and concert platforms across the world and has recorded and performed with artists ranging from Kate Bush to the Lindsay String Quartet and from the Northern Sinfonia Orchestra to Nigel Kennedy. He is also one of the leading performers on the Northumbrian Smallpipes, a much quieter and more subtle sounding type of bagpipe than its better known cousin from north of the border.
