Active Arts Craft Market 1st November 2008 (Saturday)
Venue: Countesthorpe College - 10am Active Arts Craft market is justifiably famous! Starting in 1976,it was one of the first in the country to invite craftsmen and women to display and sell their goods directly to the customer. The customers loved it, and they still do!
Held on the first Saturday in November at Countesthorpe College it opens to the public at 10-am and goes on through until 4pm.
There is always over seventy stalls all selling hand made goods and nearly always made by the person behind the stall.

Venue: Countesthorpe College - Doors 7.pm Show starts 7.30 Martin Simpson is one of the finest finger-style and slide guitarists in the world. At this year’s BBC Folk Awards he won Album of the Year for ‘Prodigal Son’ and Best Original Song for his profoundly moving song about his father ‘Never Any Good’.
He has won Musician of the Year twice; in 2002 he won Album of the Year for ‘The Bramble Briar’.
