MONUMENTS, GRAVESTONES, TABLETS AND MONUMENTAL INSCRIPTIONS
For the right to erect and place on a grave for which an exclusive Right of Burial has been granted, permission must be obtained from the Parish Council. Listed below are the relevant sizes that must be adhered to. Only one memorial per plot is allowed.
BURIAL PLOTS
Headstone - Not exceeding 2' 6" high. Can be mounted onto a plinth max of 4". Slab 2.6' long x 1'6".
Monument in the form of a Portable Iron or Stone Vase - Not exceeding 1' in height and occupying a space not exceeding 1' by 1'.
CREMATION PLOTS
A Combined Portable Tablet, Vase and Base – Not exceeding, 14" in height and occupying a space not exceeding 14" x 14".
CEMETERY RULES AND REGULATIONS
Wooden crosses are regarded as a temporary grave marker following the first interment and will be removed when a memorial is installed.
The planting of flowers, trees and shrubs shall be subject to the approval of the Council.
The Council reserves the right to remove unauthorised items and to maintain graves to a reasonable standard.
Applications for graveside furniture will be considered by the Parish Council six months after the date of interment.
No railing, palisading or chain around any grave space shall be allowed.
No artificial lighting e.g. solar or any other form of battery lighting is permitted on the grave or cremation plot.
The Council reserves the right to prune, cut down, dig up or remove any shrubs, plants or flowers on any grave, when in its opinion, the same have become unsightly or overgrown, and to remove any vase or container which does not comply with these Regulations.
