Countesthorpe
Library was taken over by Countesthorpe Parish Council in August 2016 to save
the Library from closure.
Run by our Library Supervisor and a wonderful team of volunteers, Countesthorpe Library has thrived, and is working constantly to become a community hub for our village.
As well as offering books and audio books to borrow for all ages, we also offer free use of public computers, with printing facilities, free access to Wi-Fi and scanning and copying facilities. We have a Jigsaw swap and a magazine swap, and some fun educational toys for children to play with once they've chosen their books!
We run a number of regular monthly groups, including weekly RhymeTime sessions for 0-5 years old and their parents/carers.
A variety of events are hosted across the year, often in association with other local groups.
Our aim is to offer a warm welcoming service for everyone who visits the Library. All of our staff and volunteers are DBS checked and have had safeguarding training to make the library as safe as possible for all.
We are always open to new suggestions as to what the local residents would like to see in the Library – so if you have any suggestions, let us know!
